Assessment & Evaluation
Milwaukee Academy provides extensive evaluation services. Decisions for placement and service delivery for children / adolescents can be complicated and confusing. An all-encompassing clinical assessment and evaluation can be the most effective tool in determining the best plan of action for an adolescent.

30-Day Assessment:
This program emphasizes stabilization and assessment of treatment needs. This assessment includes:
• Psychiatric Evaluation
• Psychosocial Assessment
• Family Assessment
• Substance Abuse Screening
• Independent Living Skills Assessment
• Group Living Assessment
• Medical and Health Care Assessment
• Educational Assessment
• Psychological evaluation (contracted)
Psychiatric Assessment:
Mental health diagnosis, medication evaluation, mental health care recommendations
Nursing Assessment:
Health information and recommendations
Social Assessment:
Family history, social/emotional functioning, treatment planning recommendations
Academic Assessment:
Educational testing and educational recommendations
Group Living Assessment:
Identify strengths and barriers in the youth's daily living skills and peer interactions
Family Assessment:
Family interaction patterns, historical information, service recommendations for the family
Psychological Assessment:
Placing agencies can contract with Milwaukee Academy’s consulting psychologist for a full, well-rounded evaluation to assess mental health diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
Length of Stay:
The length of stay for assessment and evaluation is 30 days.
